Nuts are a fantastic reservoir of proteins, healthy fats, fibre, and important minerals such as zinc and magnesium. Yet, they also have a naturally occurring chemical known as phytic acid and some enzyme inhibitors which can interfere with body's absorption of certain nutrients. These enzyme inhibitors and phytic acid are absent in our activated Brazil nuts since they were removed through our soaking process. After the sprouting, we dehydrate the nuts for 24 hours at low temperature. This makes them easier to digest and assimilate and also enhances the full flavour of the nuts.
Suggested Uses: Brazil nuts can be consumed in a raw state or used to make some meals. You may chopped them up and sprinkle on vegetables or add to your smoothies. Brazil nuts are known as a good source of a bio-available mineral selenium, which we need to produce the active thyroid hormone. Selenium also supports immunity and helps to heal wounds.
