Face Yoga - The Secrets to a Slim and More Youthful Face

What if I told you that you can get your face feeling tighter, firmer, and look slimmer - all the benefits of a facelift without having to go under the knife?


Face Yoga, a new facial exercise regiment, involves repeating specific movements on your face to boost circulation that will lift and tighten skin over time.  By stimulating certain muscles in your face, you can enhance collagen and elastin production in the middle layer of your skin to give you a smoother, more supple, tighter looking face.

Yes.  But just like your fitness routine, you need to be committed to working those muscles and have a consistent schedule to really see the benefits.  One study revealed that after just two months of facial yoga, participants reported an increased fullness in their cheeks, making them look years younger!



How Often Should You Practice Face Yoga to Optimize Results?


In order to really notice differences, you should aim to do it everyday.  Consistency is the key to success in all aspects of life, not just this! You can start off with 15 minutes a day and work up to a 30 minute routine for at least 3 months.   If you can look years younger afterwards, isn’t it worth it?

Wake up your face, smooth your wrinkles, firm up saggy areas with these 5 Face Yoga Exercises!

 

1) Warm Up - Blowing Raspberries


How to Do the Exercise:

  • Those bubbles you like to blow on baby’s tummies… do that but with much more exaggeration!  The larger the vibration, the more relaxed your facial muscles will be. 

How Often:

  • Try to do 1-3x a day just to relax or if you are preparing for a long period of talking.  



 

2) Slim Your Double Chin


 

How to Do the Exercise:

  • Keep your shoulders down and relaxed the whole time
  • Look up to the ceiling until you feel a nice stretch at the front of your neck and chin area
  • Alternate between 2 faces with your chin facing up:
    • Duck lips (like if you were to give a kiss)
    • Stick out your tongue
  • Hold each pose for 5 seconds
  • Repeat this three times

How Often:

  • 1-2x per day

 

 

3) Smooth Smile Lines


How to Do the Exercise: 

  • Start at your nose and draw 5 circles clockwise and counterclockwise while moving up towards your temples.  This will help target your fine lines and help lift the face.

How Often:

  • 1x a day


4) Firm Up Saggy Cheeks and Jowls

 

How to Do the Exercise: 

  • To remove the saggy cheeks, pull everything to one side and make a kissy-face.  Hold for 10 seconds and then pull everything to the other side and hold for another 10 seconds


How Often:

  • 3-5x a day

 

 

5) Get Rid of Eye Wrinkles and Crow’s Feet


How to Do the Exercise: 

  • Keep your shoulders back and relaxed
  • Look down so your chin is touching your neck as much as possible
  • Open your mouth as if you were yawning without showing your front teeth (try tucking your upper lip inside the mouth and make an “ahh” mouth shape)
  • Hold this for 3 seconds

How Often:

  • Only once a day (not more!) 
  • This will be too much stretching if done more than once a day
